Things are clean and new and the prices are average. I haven’t used the other services but plan too. After the massage there is a follow up to see how your feeling and you get a really hot towel lol to wipe off some of the oil.”

I walk by this location all the time – it’s on my way home from work and it’s right above my nail salon. I’ve seen both Peter and Tyler on my two visits….and I’ve been meaning to go back. Both gents were amazing and I came out feeling so relaxed and so much more comfortable. The massage rooms are very warm and the sitting area out front is nice and homy. As Nicole pointed out, it’s very clean and smells fresh and welcoming. Each session is tailored to your needs of that day and they take about 5-10 mins to go over each section and concerns with you before they start. The thing I LOVE about this place….well there are two things. 1…they don’t play “spa/relaxation” music….I was in with Peter and there was a great mix on that had some good beats. 2. Their receipts are just so cute! I like the online booking that they have at http://gesund.ca, but if you book to close to the time slot – call, as the system doesn’t always register and notify the therapist. Not only do they offer massage, but they have Chiro and Acupuncture too. The prices are grate and fall in line with what most plans cover. For sure check them out if you’re in the hood.”

I’ve been to see the naturopath, Dr. Peter Tebruegge, and also two of the massage therapists there, Erin and Akari. Dr. Tebruegge is really knowledgeable about natural health and nutrition and he carries some very good product lines. He has set up myself and a few friends with some healthy body cleanse regimens and we’ve had great results from them. The space itself is also very nice and modern. I can’t believe that I waited so long to seek out alternative health treatments when all along a lot of this stuff was covered by my work-provided health insurance plan and I didn’t even realize it. But Dr. Tebruegge is so knowledgeable about how health insurance plans work (and mine is by no means a fancy/expensive plan). If you have any sort of plan or questions about how it might cover any of the treatments offered here, Dr. Tebruegge can help you make sense of it and make sure you’re getting the most out of your coverage.”

The clinic is very easy to access by subway, and is beautifully decorated. The expertise of the staff is very helpful; they have helped me resolve a long standing issue with back pain. I always look forward to my next appointment. Also available are a wide variety of natural products such as creams, lotions and supplements, not to mention the delicious natural/organic snacks. My health and overall well-being has improved dramatically in the last few months since I have been a patient. The staff are so friendly and helpful!If you have any sort of work-provided health insurance plan or questions about how it might cover any of the treatments offered here, Dr. Tebruegge can help you make sense of it and make sure you’re getting the most out of your coverage. They were very helpful in the booking process, and have hours outside of 9 – 5 which is great for an office monkey like me! The Gesund clinic is a very welcoming little space – lots of warm colours and it’s very clean and well appointed. You’re offered water when you arrive, and a comfy reception area to sit in and fill out any forms. The treatment room itself was a lovely space – not too tiny, which actually helps me to relax; I hate it when massage therapists are forced to work in a small space and seem cramped around the table. My therapist, Akari, was a lovely and soft spoken woman – we went over my form briefly and she made sure any issues with my health and wellbeing were addressed before starting work. [Side note: Akari mentioned there’s a cat on premises because i’d mentioned allergies – I wasn’t affected, and didn’t see the cat, but if you are highly reactive i’d mention this to them when booking. EDIT: Gesund have actually mentioned in a comment below that there is no cat on premises, just that Akari herself owns a cat and that’s why she warns against allergies from residual hair, etc. The treatment itself was thorough and just what I needed – Akari was very responsive to any feedback or needs I had during my 90 minutes, and generally made it breeze along – unlike the generic new age ‘relaxation’ music I normally hear in most clinics, there was some soft/easy listening jazz playing in the room which I found refreshing. At the end of my treatment I was given plenty of time to dress and recover, and – something i’ve *never* had at another clinic – was presented with a hot towel to wipe down with and remove most of the massage oils. What a terrific little afterthought! I felt no pressure after my appointment/payment to buy any products or book something else straight away, which I find enormously helpful coming out of a relaxing experience. The prices here are actually quite reasonable compared to some other spas, and thanks to my fantastic first visit i’d definitely consider returning.”

He’s a relaxed, non-judgmental and very professional and skilled practitioner, and located in a very central clinic – highly recommended if you’re in the yonge/bloor area!”
