"I got a kickstart when I was 4 years old and I would massage my mother’s feet. I knew it was something I was born to do. There was nothing that made me happier than making others feel better and when I was old enough to know I could do so professionally, it was a no-brainer."
Lauren is a graduate of Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario.
Originally from Montreal, Lauren moved to Toronto upon completing her undergraduate degree in Exercise Science to pursue her true passion; Massage Therapy. Lauren got a kickstart on her career at the age of 4 when she would massage her mother’s feet and knew it was something she was born to do. There was nothing that made her happier than making others feel better and when she was old enough to know she could do so professionally, it was a no-brainer.
During her time at Sutherland-Chan, Lauren had the opportunity to participate in several specialty clinics where she treated seniors, pregnant women, stroke survivors, breast cancer survivors and pre and post-operative patients in the thoracic surgery ward at the Toronto General Hospital. Her previous experience working in spas has enabled her to provide an effective yet relaxing treatment for her clients, making sure they are comfortable throughout the massage. She has seen a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions and continues to learn from her clients while providing them with tips and tools to improve their overall well-being off the massage table as well.
In her treatments, Lauren incorporates techniques and modalities such as general Swedish techniques, myofascial release, rhythmic and joint mobilizations, muscle energy techniques, lymphatic drainage, scar manipulation, and hot stone massage.
She tailors her treatments to her clients’ needs and goals and strives to achieve them one massage at a time.
