MASSAGE THERAPY AND ACUPUNCTURE COMBINATION TREATMENT

The key principle that defines and connects all of Chinese medicine is that of Chi or vital energy. The chi of all organs must be in balance, neither too active nor too dormant, for a person to be healthy. The chi of the body’s organs and systems are all connected in meridians or channels that lie just under the skin.

In this treatment type acupuncture is used to assist the body in regulating the chi and achieving balance. Following the acupuncture session specific areas of the body will be treated using Massage therapy techniques to reduce pain and tension. This type of treatment can be particularly useful in the treatment of the mental/emotional and physical manifestations of stress.

Initial Assessment – $140

  • Your visit will be approximately 75-90 minutes long.
  • In the visit a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)case history will be taken to determine which acupuncture points are appropriate.
  • Please bring any relevant laboratory results from other health care practitioners to your first visit. This will add in the understanding your current health status.
  • In this session there will be some introductory acupuncture, however depending on the presenting symptoms and the amount of time needed for information gathering there may not me any massage component.
  • Receipts for the initial assessment are issued as Naturopathic Medicine
