Amanda is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). She graduated with honours from the Centennial College Massage Therapy Program. Amanda garnered invaluable experience working in the student clinic and community outreach programs. She thrived treating prenatal and postnatal mothers and infants at Rosalie Hall. Additionally, at East General Hospital and Variety Village Sport Training and Fitness Centre, she worked with many patients having neurodegenerative disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis and ALS, as well as palliative patients to improve their quality of life with dignified respect.
Amanda is experienced in treating repetitive strain injuries, pregnancy related discomforts, postural imbalances, and chronic pain management. She is trained in Swedish massage including treatment of trigger points and common musculoskeletal conditions. Amanda has additional training in Craniosacral therapy, a set of techniques that utilize light touch to induce deep states of relaxation and pain relief. Additionally, Amanda has training in NISA (Neuromuscular Integrative Structural Alignment), a deep tissue treatment tool for restoring musculoskeletal freedom to support ideal postural alignment.
In addition to Massage Therapy Amanda is a certified yoga instructor with training in Ashtanga and Hatha Yoga from the Yoga Sanctuary in Toronto; a studio affiliated with the Yoga Alliance. Amanda works to integrate mindfulness and awareness in every treatment to ensure you receive a holistic and balanced massage experience.
