We live in a world that is constantly changing, fast paced and high demand. Days, weeks, months or even years can go by while we are trying to manage our work, families and lives without us ever stopping to pause. I want you to take a minute to close your eyes, and ask your body what it needs from you right now. More sleep? More food? More energy? Pain relief? Less stress? How often do we really ask ourselves what it is we need, and how we are doing with everything we have going on? This is an exercise in mindfulness – one of the many things I want to teach you.
My name is Nastasia Irons and I am a Naturopathic Doctor. I graduated from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine and I am currently completing a rigorous 2 year residency program at the college.
My primary focus is in pain management and chronic illness. Part of my practice involves supervising at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine on the Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue focus group. When managing chronic illness, my goal is to help reduce symptoms; as well as improve sleep, mood, pain, energy and overall well-being.
I became a Naturopathic Doctor so that I can help to eliminate fear. I know how scary it can be when the body no longer works the way it used to, and no one has explained to you why this is happening and what you can do about it. This is what I can do for you, and it is my mission to bring awareness, education, and empowerment to all of my patients.
